2017 National Rebuilding Day | April 29th

Thank you for volunteering for Rebuilding Together Aurora’s April Rebuilding Event.  Your support will have a lasting, positive impact on the community!


Friday, April 29th

Please arrive to your assigned site by 8:00 AM. House captains and co-captains will be there to greet you and introduce to your site and homeowner. If your volunteering with a group you will see your volunteer assignment below to arrive at for Friday. If you are signing up as an individual volunteer RTA staff will send you your assignment via email.

Friday's Agenda:

8:00 AM – Arrive to your site and project work beings
Midday – Lunch will be provided

4:00 PM – Clean-up
5:00 PM – Project concludes for the day

Saturday- April 29th

Saturday RTA will be hosting a morning rally.  Unlike Friday, all volunteers must check in at rally location at Aurora East High School located at 500 Tomcat Lane before heading to sites. Rally will be staged in front of the school. Please arrive at volunteer check in between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. See full agenda below

Saturday's Agenda:

7:00 AM – Volunteer registration
7:30 AM – Morning rally (Coffee and donuts)
7:45 AM – Volunteers leave to assigned sites
8:00 AM – Project work beings
11:30 AM – Lunch will be provided

4:00 PM – Clean-up
5:00 PM – Project concludes for the day

What to Wear:

Volunteers are provided a Rebuilding Together event t-shirt at Registration. We ask that you wear the t-shirt on event days. Consider wearing long pants and covered shoes to protect yourself, and make sure you wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty!

What to Bring:

Work sites will be equipped with all the necessary tools, unless you hear otherwise from your house captain before the event day.  Work gloves and safety goggles will be provided but please bring your own if available. If you bring any items from home please make sure they are clearly labeled as your own. You are responsible for your own belongings. 

Who’s Who:

Key volunteers, staff and Board Members will be wearing Blue, Gold, and Red t-shirts during the event. If you need assistance or information, look for one of these leads at your site.

Parking Information

On Friday, park near your work site. On Saturday, we’re asking everyone to attend the opening rally at East Aurora High School then walk or commute to your work site, depending upon its location. Please refer to the April Rebuilding Event Map for project locations and team assignments.
